Captain America Will NOT Be Pleased, Superman Renounces U.S. Citizenship In New Comic!

Guess Superman couldn't handle the possibility of fighting crime under the leadership of Donald Trump. LOLz.
In DC's Action Comics #900, Superman renounces his U.S. citizenship when he's "scolded by a member of the president's security staff for appearing at a protest in Iran, with the notion that Superman's actions reflect the positions of U.S. government [...]

First they hosted this year's ACM awards together, now the two are bonding again over a less happy event: the recent tornado disasters.

Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire are putting on a benefit concert to help those affected by the recent string of horrible storms and tornados. It's called the Tornado Relief Concert and it'll be at the Choctaw Even Center in Durant, Oklahoma on May 26th.

Here's what McEntire had to say:

"A lot of people lost a great deal in this disaster and it's particularly close to us because we both consider Oklahoma home. We wanted to do something and let the people in Oklahoma know that we love them and we're praying for them during this difficult tragedy."

Such a good cause, you guys!

Back in September of 2009, we learned that convicted felon Chris Brown began serving his community service sentence in his home state of Virginia as part of his punishment for his brutal assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Pink reader Tori informs us today that Brown is still paying off his debt to society and is still serving out the term of his community service … and she knows this because she photographed Chris Brown cleaning up the alley-way behind her father’s studio earlier today:

Tori tells me that while she was studying earlier today, she heard a ruckus coming from the alley … she at first assumed it was a bunch of homeless men making all the noise and when she went to investigate, she was surprised to see that all the noise was coming from Chris Brown and his fellow community servicemen cleaning up the alley. While I’m still NO FAN of Chris Brown, I am happy to learn that he is still paying for his crimes. Much love and many thanks goes out to Tori for graciously sharing these photos with us.

Yesterday we saw a batch of really cute photos of Natalie Portman‘s babydaddy-to-be Benjamin Millepied dancing his buns off on the streets of NYC, NY. It turns out that Ben was actually filming a commercial for Yves St. Laurent. Today, we get to see a few more photos from the set of the YSL commercial shoot and as you can see from the photos below, Benjamin really got into the swing of things this time around.

Aww … I bet this commercial is going to turn out really well … but, I have to say, I’m kinda bummed that this turned out to be a commercial shoot and not an impromptu and random dance session. I really loved the idea that Benjamin was just walking along and then BAM! he decided to bust out some serious dance moves right there on the streets of NYC. Ah well … it’s still fun seeing him in action. Very soon, tho, Benjamin will really have cause to dance and celebrate because he’s about to become a father … and that alone is reason enough to dance in the streets ;D

When we last left our favorite racers we had just said good-bye to Jet and Cord. Now it is a whole new leg of the race and the remaining five teams are all fighting to stay alive and win a million dollars. Links Found Between Harry Potter, Osama Bin Laden

For some time now comparisons between the "Harry Potter" saga and chase of Osama Bin Laden have been mentioned and, as the final movie readies for release and the word of Osama's death spreads, the story's inevitable subtext has come to light once more.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the first of the Potter movies, "Sorcerer’s Stone," was released in November 2011 (just months after 9/11), in which the ongoing conflict between Harry and the evil force bent on destroying him, Lord Voldemort, was revealed.

Previously touted as "He Who Must Not Be Named," Voldermort was first put forth as a somewhat unknown entity, much like Osama, until a course of events ensued in which he takes on a more physical and prevalent presence, which comes to a head in the last volume as he and Potter battle it out in a seismic one-on-one fight.

Those who've carried with the saga and who have also been exposed to Hollywood's renditions of the 9/11 tragedy, along with the race to find Bin Laden, can notice inevitable similarities between Harry's reluctant quest to defeat the evil force and America's quest to find it's public enemy number one.

Whether those echoes actually shadow a link between the series and the death of Osama is unknown, however, the theory will undoubtedly rev up even more interest in what is expected to be one the biggest blockbusters of the summer.

Oh oh…busted! Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s seventeen-year old has been nabbed for alcohol! You booze you lose girlfriend! So much for a night on the town with teeny boppin’ friends! Understanding Rap and Hip Hop Music

The Bravery hit the headlines in 2005 with their self title debut album, featuring the enormously catchy 'Honest Mistake'. On the back of this single with its curious mix of New Order-esque bouncing synth rhythms and classic rock soaring guitar lines, this angry young band achieved large scale success in the 'popular indie' market in the UK at the same time as the likes of the Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers. Fast forward to 2011, and the 'average punter' in London's music scene has probably never heard of The Bravery. Why? A dispute with their UK publisher meant that The Bravery couldn't release their music on this side of the Atlantic for the last 6 years. Selfish of those record company folks, right? Not to worry. Yesterday was a very bizzy, very full, VERY FUN day for David and me. In the afternoon, we were invited to our friends Tom and Patrick’s home for their Kentucky Derby party where we got to eat, drink and be merry with a group of their friends. Last night, David and I made our way to The Forum in Inglewood, CA for my 6th Prince concert of his 21 Nite Stand residency here in LA. ‘Twas a fantastically fun and surprisingly profitable day for the two of us :D Read below for the deets.

Along with food, drink and comradery, there was also betting available at Tom & Patrick’s party. I put my money on the horses Pants on Fire and Watch Me Go … neither of which were even close to winning. David put his money on Comma on Top … at first. Before the race started, I noticed that no one bet on Animal Kingdom … so I told David, who was standing by the betting wall, to put some money on Animal Kingdom … he did and we won $100! I am not a gambling man … but winning the pot of cash yesterday gave me some keen insight as to why gamblers like to gamble ;)

After the party, we rested for a bit before hittin’ the road to see Prince in concert again:

What can I say … another fantastic show. Former Pussycat Doll and soon-to-be X Factor host Nicole Scherzinger was a nice surprise and Adam Lambert got brought up on stage to do some dancing with His Purple Majesty. Last night was one of those shows where the encores just kept coming. I’d say 80% of the audience left before the absolute finale encore at the very end. David and I had a BLAST! Thus far, I have 6 of Prince‘s 21 shows under my belt … and I’m planning on being in attendance for the 3 new shows coming up next weekend. It is a CRAZY privilege to get to see Prince perform so many shows like this. I was so jealous that London got to enjoy 21 nights of Prince a few years ago … I’m gonna do my best to attend every show possible :D

Tonight, I’m meeting up with Darion and Sebastian to see Thor in IMAX 3D again … I enjoyed the film so much, I can’t wait to see it again.
